Memorial Day at the Zoo

Since Mark has been working some crazy hours the past week we were so thankful he was able to have off yesterday for a great family day! We decided to head to the San Diego Zoo since I haven't taken Allie to the zoo since before she was walking and this is supposed to be one of the best. We did have a great time and it was the nicest zoo I have ever been to. The weather was absolutley perfect and the girls loved it! The whole way there Allie kept saying she wanted to see the monkeys and snakes. So of course we had to see those eventhough I usually by pass the reptile house. Both girls were fascinated with the snakes and wanted to see them all. Mabrie told me twice thank you for the fun family day (she is so sweet!). The only problem we did have is once we got home and got the girls in their beds Mabrie was overcome with the thought that what if a snake got out and was in her bed. Then after Mark talked to her about how snakes do not like the cold and they were all safely at the zoo still, Allie started saying snake in my bed and refused to sleep by herself. So after 30 minutes of Allie saying "snake in my bed" we let the girls sleep with me and Mark headed to the other bed since he needed his sleep. I think next time we will be bypassing the reptile house :)
