Sunday night is Mark's only night off and he decided to finally camp in the backyard with the girls. He has been talkng about doing it for a couple of months but things always happened. So that afternoon him and the girls were out putting up the tent and the girls could not have been more excited. The only problem was that Mark forgot to check the weather and there was a huge thunderstorm coming in. The girls were so sad and they were determined to still campout. So we went ahead and all headed out there and thought we would just stay for awhile till it got too bad. What are the ingredients to a successful Mullen campout?
Start with the tent
Add some cute sleeping bags/backpacks
Add some shadow puppet theater
A little bit of jumping on the mattresses
And finish off with some snuggles/family time
It was really fun being in there during the rain and we all laid out there for about 2 hours just talking and enjoying the storm till the storm got worse and worse and we all made a break for it in the house to enjoy our beds. I love that Mark does special things like this for us and it will be a night I will not forget!

How fun!!! We haven't been camping in over a year. The kids LOVE to camp out.
