Hit and Run

Things have been crazy here since Mark is still working on the finishing the floors (the finish is taking FOREVER to dry because of it being so humid) and we have been staying at my moms all week, so I am just now getting around to posting this. Monday night my mom was having a meeting at her house so we had to get out for a couple of hours and decided to go out to eat and go buy some flowers to plant at our house. After going to buy the flowers we remembered that we couldn't get to the bathroom at our house because of the wet floors so we were going to stop and let Mabrie go to the bathroom before getting home. As we were turning into the walmart parking lot a car came out of the parking lot and hit us. Everyone was okay but as they backed up there car and Mark got on the phone to call the police (which he normally wouldn't have done...a total God thing) the driver gets out of the car and starts walking very calmly across the street. There were 2 other girls in the car and we didn't think anything of it. So Mark is telling the cop that the driver is leaving and the cops were there within minutes. After an hour and about 10 cop cars later they finally catch the guy. It was pretty crazy though after all that running he did he ended up coming back to the scene of the crime and ran into the walmart grocery store... the cops were screaming for everyone to get down and people were running out like crazy. He had 2 felony warrants for drugs and they arrested the girl for not cooperating with the police (she refused to give up his name). I told Mark that it was certainly an unforgettable anniversary! We are still trying to work things out with their insurance since that driver obviously wasn't covered *sigh*.

With all the craziness going on here I am looking foward to tomorrow.. Mark has a surprise planned this weekend for our anniversary and I certainly need some time alone with my husband.
